Everyone wants their smile to look as good as it can. Cosmetic dentistry helps you get that great-looking smile you want. But what offerings can give you what you are looking for? Here is a guide to the cosmetic offerings Dr. Rosenblatt offers and what each of them can do for you and your smile.

Cosmetic Options

Teeth Whitening – In terms of teeth whitening, many people believe you can get the same thing from the grocery store as a dentist’s office. This is not true. Although you are able to purchase a product that says it will whiten your teeth, it is not the same product you would get from a dentist like Hugh B. Rosenblatt, DMD, PA. When you buy a store-bought solution, you are buying a product that does not have the same whitening agent or the same level of concentration for the whitening agent. Everything is different when you go to a professional.

Dr. Rosenblatt offers two kinds of professional teeth whitening, in-office and at-home.

  • Benefit- In-Office Whitening: KöR whitening is the in-office whitening treatment done at our Boynton Beach, FL office. KöR is able to give you a smile up to 16 shades whiter than what you would get with a store-bought solution. This is due to three factors: the custom KöR whitening trays, the proprietary Tri-Barrel™ delivery system, and the hydremide peroxide gel used during the treatment. There’s no UV light, so you’ll have no tooth sensitivity.
  • Benefit – At-Home Whitening: The at-home option Hugh B. Rosenblatt, DMD, PA uses is Opalescence, with take-home concentration levels ranging from 10% to 35%. The difference in concentration marks the difference in length of time for the treatment. Your treatment can last from 8-10 hours at a time (10%) to 30 minutes (35%). You may be able to see a change in the color of your teeth after a single treatment, but it will take roughly a week before you see the full effects on your smile.

Dental Veneers – Veneers are a versatile cosmetic fix that can handle some tough problems affecting your smile. Veneers are thin ceramic coverings that are permanently bonded to the front side of your individual teeth. This allows them to correct a number of different issues. Dr. Rosenblatt will remove a thin layer of dental enamel to prepare your tooth for the veneer. This is for two reasons. The first is that it prepares the surface for the dental bonding process, and the second is to make sure the veneer fits naturally in your smile. The last thing you want is for the new veneer to stick out in front of the other teeth around it.

  • Benefit – Dr. Rosenblatt uses e.max porcelain for the dental veneers he provides. Because of this material’s incredible strength, he can make the veneers thinner than he could with another type of porcelain. Thinner veneers mean that less enamel needs to be removed during the prep process. Keeping as much of your natural teeth as possible is always our goal in this type of procedure.

Your new veneers can also take care of staining issues that teeth whitening may not be effective for. Deep dental staining from disease, or the medications used to treat a disease, are often unaffected by traditional dental whitening. Veneers are able to cover that staining and return a white look to your teeth. You don’t have to live with stained teeth any longer.

Invisalign – A crooked smile is not going to make the kind of impression you want. That is why Invisalign is such a lifesaver for so many people. The plastic aligner mouthguards are able to correct your smile and get your teeth back into the position they were meant to be in. A straighter smile will do wonders for your appearance and your self-esteem. The way you present yourself to the world matters, and Invisalign helps you present the best version of yourself.

  • Benefit – Invisalign is able to straighten your smile, which can also be done by traditional braces. What makes Invisalign special is how it straightens and how long it takes to get the job done. Invisalign uses clear plastic aligners to correct your dental alignment. This makes them practically invisible to the people around you. No metal, no wires, no problems with Invisalign. As if the appearance factor was not enough, Invisalign also straightens your teeth in about 12 months versus the two to three years that traditional braces need to finish the same job.
